Doing Good and Doing Well means Doing Better
At RXR, “Doing Good and Doing Well” is an operational mindset embedded deep within our corporate DNA that drives and defines our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy.
2020 Environmental, Social, and Governance Report
RXR Realty is proud to release the 2020 ESG report, which details the formal ESG practices we have established, the benchmarks we have met, and our quantifiable goals for measuring success and serving as a leading force in creating more sustainable and more equitable communities in areas where we operate.
Building a More Sustainable New York
When it comes to sustainability, metrics are important. As the saying goes, you can’t manage what you don’t measure. The numbers show RXR considerably reduced energy use, emissions, water, and waste in 2020. This was partly the result of the pandemic, but it was also due to our philosophy of not letting a crisis go to waste by stepping up our commitment to sustainability. Check out the Environment section of our 2020 ESG report to learn more about our efforts for a greener, more sustainable New York.
Supporting Communities in Crisis
We mean it when we say “Doing Good and Doing Well Means Doing Better”. That philosophy carries through in our social impact initiatives from developing an award-winning app to help the RXR community navigate COVID-19, to our RXR Volunteer platform that cultivated a network of over 300 volunteers and helped over 275 business and non-profits access critical resources. Take a look at the Social section of our 2020 ESG report to learn more about the impact we make across the communities we serve.
Ensuring Best Practices
RXR is committed to being an industry leader in the 4 pillars of corporate governance including people, process, performance, and purpose. Our ESG Committee, established in 2019, ensures RXR continues to strive and meet ESG goals including stakeholder engagement, increasing gender inclusion and diversity in the workplace, and setting standards within our supply chain.
